She did her completing her schooling in boarding school from Dalhousie Hilltop School, Dalhousie. Later, she went to Lovely Professional University Phagwara, Punjab for B.Com (Bachelor of commerce). She belongs to a Sikh family her father Santokh Singh Sukh and her mother Parminder Kaur. She has a brother Shehbaz Badesha.
