“Gadar 2” (2023) is an Indian Hindi-language period action drama film directed and produced by Anil Sharma, with the story written by Shaktimaan Talwar. It is a sequel to the 2001 film (Gadar: Ek Prem Katha). The film stars Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma and Aamir Naik in the lead roles.
In the first film, set in 1947, a Sikh truck driver, Tara Singh, falls in love with a Muslim girl, Sakeena. They get married in the midst of the bloody Partition violence, in which Sakeena’s family moves to Pakistan. Then, Singh makes a dramatic visit to Pakistan and returns as a patriot.
